#323-Thoughts on Direction

Sailors use the same wind to go east, west, north or south.

If you don't know where you are going, how will you know when you are there?

It is the set of the sails and not the gales that determines the direction we go.

#322-Thoughts on Words

We are almost always only one word or phrase away from a misunderstanding.

You don't need to know how to spell a word before you could say it but you must know how to say it before you could spell it.

#321-Thoughts on Men

Honest, decent men are not interested in a floozy.

Marital discord brings out the worst in both men and women.

#320-Thoughts on Everyone

Everyone who feeds you is not interested in your well-being.

Everyone is guilty of frustrating others and wonder why others frustrate them.

#319-Thoughts on Things

We sometimes do things without knowing why we do what we do.

Most living things are, first and foremost, focused on self-preservation.

#318-Thoughts on Remember

Always remember that other people taught you most of what you know today.

It is amazing how easily we remember the things we should forget and forget the things we should remember.

#317-Thoughts on Something

Your refusal to use something does not render it useless.

I'll be there for you - if there is something in it for me.

Make yourself indispensable – become an expert at something.

#316-Thoughts on Help

Help your dependents to set realistic expectations then stand back and watch while they exceed those expectations.

If you help someone to make their wishes come true they will be more willing to help you make your wishes come true.

When you tie something with fishing line the knot opens without your help but when your fishing line gets tangled it is never easy to open.

#315-Thoughts on More

Never reverse more than you have to.

The more I get done, the more I get to do.

With texting we are now "writing" more with fewer words.

#314-Thoughts on Further

Every day, we are one day further away from the cradle and one day closer to the grave.

Every passing moment makes us one moment older. It also takes us one moment further away from the cradle and brings us one moment closer to the grave.

#313-Thoughts on being Little

Perception is the little voice in your head.

Very little actually gets done when numerous activities or projects are undertaken concurrently.

We all have issues; academics because they know too much and non-academics because they know too little.

#312-Thoughts on Answers

Unintelligent questions seldom attract intelligent answers.

Why ask a question if you are not prepared to accept no as a possible answer?

No one expects you to have all the answers but they expect you to share the one you have.

#311-Thoughts on Others

It is ruinous to do for others that which they could do for themselves.

To be an effective leader, one has to master the art of empowering others.

It is counterproductive to do for others that which they should do for themselves.

#310-Thoughts on God

I praise God when I feel well and I turn to Him when I am ill.

If God will never give me more than I could carry, I don't want to be too strong.

#309-Thoughts on the Right Way

I don't know any way other than the right way.

You too could live a stress free life – if you do things the right way – my way!

#308-Thoughts on Life

Stupidity costs money; it could also cost you your life.

No matter who you are and no matter what your background is, you still have the power to choose how you process the events of your life.

It is OK to be inattentive if you are willing to pay the price. It could be anything - your job, your family, your life - there is no limit.

#307-Thoughts on Time

Everyone will meet their match in God's time.

A man’s date or time or place of death is of no value to him; he can learn nothing from that event.

#306-Thoughts on Love

Jesus my Brother, Mary my Mother, Joseph my Protector, I love you.

Give your parents lots of love and they will return it to your children.

Fulfillment in life does not come from collecting more things; it comes from feeling more love.

#305-Thoughts on being Human

I am aghast by the way humans have been treating their fellowman since the beginning of time.

Humans have been committing hideous atrocities against fellow humans since the dawn of time. Why?

If there is such a thing as reincarnation and I come back as a human being, I will work harder in school.

#304-Thoughts on being Smart

Most of my acquaintances are smart enough to know what I should do.

When you acknowledge that you are wrong you are also confirming that you are now smarter than when you committed that faux pas.

#303-Thoughts on being Unemployed

If a man is unemployed when he attains the compulsory retirement age, does he retire? From what?

Even a modest increase creates untold hardships for the unemployed and any person with inadequate means.
